I only wonder whether or not I put the fuel caps on after fueling.
I've only forgotten ONE.... one time on over 30yrs... but it still eats at my noggin.
    I have a system. I use it.
When I'm pulling out of the TS I have the thought... "do I remember putting that cap on?"

    So, I stop and look.
    ALWAYS ON.

    Paranoia

You would have to "sleep shifting" not "sleep walking". You would have to jam it into gear to get it to ingage. Experiment with when you are awake and see how difficult it is to slide into gear while idling, with brakes set. Think you will find that even if it would go into gear the engine wii stall. Mercy, rest easy.

True , but I am the transmission shop they took them to so that’s how I fixed them.
Also I would fix them for the local ford dealer and then he would return them to the customer and tell them what a great job his dealership did for them.

back in the day, the dealerships did all thier own transmission repairs. as time went on, transmission work was not as much as a dealer need to survive. so they farmed it out, to a trans shop....

i know, i WAS a mechanic in a GM dealership, long before i became a trucker.....

i just never did any major transmission repairs myself back then, just fluid changes/band adjustments. everything else though, like engine rebuilding, etc, etc..

wish i had never gotten out of it too.
