Anyone else starting Millis on 10/25/10

khakiblur how is training going with Mills so far? How do you like the school?

 

Training has been great, have a great instructor, small class, tons of driving time.

We are in Black River Falls WI, picking up some stuff to take to the Richfield terminal, and the rest back to Trenton.

It's been a great 3 weeks.

 

khakiblur what are they telling you about miles once you complete training? How is the equipment for Mills? Is everyone friendly at Mills?

 

The miles are there for those that want them. Although, I'm told December/Jan. Is a slow period.

Equipment seem fine, right now they are phasing out the 06's (I believe)

For the most part every driver I've had the chance to speak to has been very friendly.

Some even go out of their way to help you on the range, and others give you their cell numbers if you ever have any questions.

Graduation is today, and the past 3 weeks have been a very positive experience. When I got to Trenton, I had never driven anything with a manual transmission in my life, and a few weeks later rumbling down the interstate in a 13 speed, at 65mph, with 37000lbs in the box.

It's been a fun ride.

 

Congratulations to the four of you. Glad to hear that ya'll got thru ok. So whats the next step? Do ya'll go with a trainer in the next few days or head back to the house for a while? If you guys are still in Trenton on the 21st or 22nd I would like to meet. If not, then see you on the road. Bravo!

Villa2m4 thats great for all 4 of you guys. Congrats. Whats the next step for you? What kind of equipment will you be driving? What was the best thing about training at Mills?

DFW, we have 3 days of orientation 15th -17th in Trenton.

I told them I wanted to head out with my trainer the 17th, so hopefully that happens.
