Parking on ramps even in rest areas is a last resort and is always a bad idea. Being a "sitting duck" is a huge liability for companies and at Landstar they will terminate your lease if your caught doing it. This should be the the policy industry wide but remember who were dealing with. You should have thanked that cop for not towing your truck. My guess is you mouthed off or did something else to earn that ticket. We all know that law enforcement has the right to ticket based on attitude and not just the violation. -

Even Walmart can be reasoned with. I have been late twice... both due to late dispatch. The first time I sat for 35 minutes and they pit me in a door. I was 4 hrs late to that one. The second I got to 15 hrs late. They told me to call someone when he got in three hours later, I talked to him and had a door within the hour.
