Anyone else work another job while trucking?

I drive local and also was doing security at a night club 3 nights a week.

 

i was a bouncer..

 

I found a blank Masters degree and put my name on it. I got a bill for 22,500 dollars. The VA & SS took care of it. 14 million box tops while driving a truck! Love Ramen Noodles.

 

My kids watched Bruce bigalow male gigalow last night and that made me think about the possibility

 

I'm old school, love to watch David Lee Roth perform. His karate skills amaze me.

 

My first 6 months otr, I found php to be "relaxing" and sometimes took on a project to do -- only while in the sleeper berth of course.

 

Now if you could be a "code monkey" while you drive, then you might be able to enhance your dollars per mile...

I tried running my business while trucking, mostly e-mails, phone calls, and spreadsheet work... that was fine if I was running as a team and could use sleeper berth time... but the bottom line was I couldn't do justice to the "other" work and drive (and sleep) for trucking. One or the other would suffer. I chose driving. The income is more predictable.

 

im in the national guard and a sex phone line operator!

 

Besides driver I am a CEO, diesel mechanic, bookkeeper, truck washer/detailer, accountant and receptionist. That's a full plate for me!
