Honestly looking to do the same with my peterbilt 386 daycab, sadly finding a sleeper I don't have to go across the country for is being a bit of a problem. It's pointless to try to save a little money buying used if it's going to cost the amount I'm saving transporting the sleeper here in the first place.

Mine was installed by a local guy that is not in that business anymore. We ended up taking a sleeper off a wrecked Sterling/Ford Aeromax at the local salvage yard and cutting my back wall. It came out nice, too bad I don't have any pictures anymore. It was about a $4,000 project 10 years ago, including painting to match the cab.

That said, I saw one of these last week at the Florida Tow Show. It seemed to be well built. The DC-27 is a DOT compliant small sleeper that is pretty lightweight. Perhaps they can point you in the right direction for a complete install?

    One moment, please...

Based on how long it took to modify my Volvo day cab years ago, if I recall correctly, the project will take about 40 man hours to gut your interior, cut the back wall, install the gaskets, brackets and mount the sleeper then put your seats and such back into your truck. Add another 10 hours for painting and final finish work, so I would expect to have the truck at the installer for at least a full week, if they have multiple people working on it.

You were very helpful with DC-27 I saw them online asked for a quote already.
From the information that I got from their website and facebook page looks like it’s going to work.
Thank you so much for helping me out with this idea.
    God bless you
