If caught tethering they will charge you what you should have been paying for to begin with which is the cost of an aircard of some sort. Not sure how they would catch you but still.
In other news far as the op question goes. I have no issues hooking it up to my win7 netbook. it just pops up like an external hd. that i can go into and copy my pictures and movies right off of. or toss pictures into.![]()

I wish I would have known all of this prior to buying a netbook with 2 yr contract for the air card.
The wife loved the droid I tried for 3 weeks. But it can't access some of the sites I need for work. Some of the sites will work on firefox, but I have a couple that only work on exploder. -
yeah i bought my netbook off newegg for like $250 then put another $100 into it to top out the ram and a bigger hd. That buying a netbook for any of the cell companies was just a bad deal from the word go. But A LOT of people fell for it.

Thanks for the info I will be using the droid for phone and other things.
I use the lappy for wow myself Never seen the 5gigs with wow though you must be updating and downloading the client via cell
I update and stuff at the house.
I dont use the cards / phones for movies etc I use them for webmaster stuff and updating sites.
Mainly wanted to know how well it connected / speeds on your lappy with it I have att now but they seem to be getting worse and worse
You cant go anywhere withoout loosing signal or getting dropped calls in the middle of a major city still not sure how this happens >:O

I know you can tether with a Droid, but do any of you tether with a Rogue from Verizon? I'm sure you can but need to find the correct free software to download. Anyone find it?
