I'm looking to convert my driver's side from manual to power. I have a 2000 but I doubt they've changed much. If someone could pm me the last 8 of your vin, I'd appreciate it. Pretty sure I'll just need a regulator and motor as I already have a switch.

Stop in at a truck junk yard and see what they have , or go to a dealer and check them out. Chances are the wireing is already in the door and all you need is the motor/reg(like u said) BUT if the wires aren't there you'd be much better off at the junk yard.

Lol finding a western star in a junk yard is the needle in a haystack much less one with a power drivers window. All my parts guy needs is a vin as they never have a star in stock

I don't mind the manual drivers window, it's the manual passengers windown that drives me crazy. That is one upgrade I'm going to do when I have the truck refurb'd

I converted my drivers window over to electric from crank. All you basically need to do it is run the wiring and replace the manual regulator with an electric.

    SHC Thanks this.
