Hello scubaghost:
I can agree with You on Your line where "the tough don't notice" because that's just the way life has to be if You are running hard as You should and working hard to keep Your Trucking reputation. Life is sometimes crowded and dirty and like a Zoo but I figure that the reason why we have the Internet is to get above all of It.
I would Love to get into some kind of a 4 to 24 week program for awhile, just to keep doing Trucking and I may even consider doing Team driving if It keeps everything easier and makes everybody happy.
The thing that I was most concerned about in my Trucking lifestyle is working around my Diabetes. It all worked out suprisingly well in this last job at FFE, pairing off with an Obese driver, getting enough rest stops and eating at SUBWAY everyday for 8 weeks. I lost 20 pounds and I do not feel the usual symptoms of Diabetes, like frequent needs to go to rest stops, burning eyes, blurred vision off and on, a lot of tiredness etc.
I Hope that the next Company School can pair me off with an Older, obese, arthritic and physically weak Trainer so that I can feel that I have a legitimate place in helping the person that I am supposed to work for and in the company. This would be in exchange for the experience of just being there and gaining some stick time and wheel time and of course time in learning about simple things like sliding the tandems and doing the "circle of service" on the Qualcom or Peoplenet. I think that I would be appreciated by most trainers for just doing an unlimited amount of work like fueling, P.T.I.'s and running paperwork to and from the shippers and the Truck, at all hours of the day and night. I also like to always run my personal best goal of 600 Miles per day.
Amtrak was a Good way to get home, It was very Scenic and they let me bring in my own food and bottled water to save a lot of money.
Anyone have current info on FFE?

Hello Group:
I checked in at my local State Job Service office, now referred to as a Career Link this Monday and asked the Job coach how to get a free copy of my DAC report and he went Online with me, as they always do in those places, to search for Jobs, and go through the Job Search engines and he found me a Free link: http://hire-rite.com/ so I filled out my request at the computer there and recieved a Case # and an 800 phone number for their service and I then let it rest for a day. On Tuesday I called their 800 number and presented my Case # to the Operator and she told me that my request is on file and that they have only one way to process these Items and that they would have to send it out to me by USPS. I asked them if they could FAX It or to E-Mail It, but they don't do either.
I am looking at a lot of other companys to apply for Online and the Search Engines like CDLjobs.com and I am inactive at this time to applying for them until I can get my DAC report. I am thinking that If there is any Trash on It that I can ask the DVC or Drivers Voice In Court Attorney service to help me to clean it up.
Hopefully, I will be back at work in another training program in the next Week or Two. -

Hello Group:
I just wanted to let You all know that I have finally recieved my DAC report from the www.hireright.com and It's all Good for one reason or another. They apparently did not write a DAC report at all.
This is a Good sign, and a sign of a Quality company to work for in my opinion.
Perhaps, I started writing for It via E-Mail by starting with the wrong link where You appeal any errors on the report, rather than by me just asking for It. I filled in the blank by just asserting that I was a FFE Driving Academy Student Driver for 8 Weeks, under the supervision of a Trainer and that I was in constant contact via the E-Logs with the Safety department and that their program was really only supposed to be 6 Weeks long, and that I did not have an accidents or Citations in all of that time and that I did have a few CSA positive points because of my Level III driver inspection and doing more PROTREADS than I had to do.
I had to wait for 25 days in order to recieve my report so maybe they were busy. I am just so pleased with them, for verifying my Trust in them on a whole. The Challenger Thanks this. -

Hello Chefy79 and the Group:
The Driving test was really easy for me, but I had time to myself to pray about it and to think it over. I had my own room and I would spend an hour a day thinking about how to double clutch and to do button hook turns.
All they asked for me to do was to turn Left and to turn Right, shift up and down from about 9th gear to about 5th gear and to back up 2 or 3 truck lengths and to do a forward serpenine and park parallel next to the curb going forward. I drove one of their Trucks for about 15 mins. for the whole test. -
Stay away from FFE lease program it is an outright scam. USA Truck is okay as a company driver. Some FFE company drivers told me they didn't get paid correctly.
