I know them as distribution warehouses, not so much the trucking side. Used to deliver into many of these places with grocery or produce.

That was a long time ago and one of the things about this outfit is that it is very rough and some are very bad. I jobhopped until I no longer have to deliver to these places again to improve my own outlook on life. Even today I would reject a Associated load. It is not worth what they will do to you when you get into one of these places.

If you can work for the grocery company directly as an actual employee, and not as a contractor, you should go for it.
But this deal seems shady. Like the guys here said, and they've been around long enough to know, there are just too many red flags.
    Pass it by.

    What I know about AWG:
I've been to AWG in Kansas City and Kenosha; all I can really say is they super duper s u c k some kind of bad. I'm not sure why they have appointments as they do not honor the time as a point they expect to have the dock open for you to offload. Rather they "Getz to ya wen day Getz to ya" (as explained by the extremely polite woman at the dock office)

I spent 13 hrs at the KC location to offload 7 pallets, and 11 hrs at Kenosha for a truckload. Of course this is probably due to capstone lumpers and an overly burdensome check in process for inventory control.

What I noticed about both locations:
Facilities are consistently dirty, employees seem unhappy, and drivers don't like being on their properties.

Don't know what "FS" is. Food Service?

Using "easy" and "work" together kinda cancel each other out don't they?

If your willing to work it's probably not going to be easy. If your looking for an easy job your probably not willing to work.

I know drivers find jobs that are strictly drop and hook or bump a dock and sit and wait to get unloaded, etc., Regardless, they gripe about their jobs too, always something.

You've got the right idea and your at the right place to ask questions, sit back and READ all that is offered. Got a question about a company? Type their name in in the search box and whala! Look through all the threads, they've got it all here, what are you interested in? Tanker, Pneumatic, Local, OTR, Flatbed, Hot Shot, Reefer, Dry Van, Company, O/O, small fleet, mega, east coast, west coast, midwest, all over, home daily, don't care, and don't even bother with Lease Purchase.....trust me.;)

It's all here at your fingertips, don't be in a hurry, listen to the advice that's given and fetter through all of it and come to your own conclusions. You are the captain of your ship and you are the only one that knows what it takes to keep it afloat, don't let anybody talk you into or out of anything. If you find something that tickles your fancy then start digging into it and find out all you can about it, don't just take one or two peoples word for it.

There are some great people on here who have years and years of experience in all of the a fore mentioned segments of the industry and are willing to help and advise. Some are complete morons and don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Your just going to have to figure out who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't and is just trying to stir the pot.

    Again, good luck.
