Thanks for the link. If I may ask, about how long would say the batteries last and about how much do they cost? To be honest, I don't mind the hearing loss, though, the nest mate probably does. Sometimes I turn the music up 'more' than she would consider a comfortable listening level.

Good news, for sure! I am confident that the left ear will pass!

I dont wear any yet however there is no doubt in my mind that eventually i might have to. Driving a daycab for the last 21 years with the exhaust system in close proximity to my right side has already changed the hearing levels in my rt. ear.

I get mine through the VA on disability. Because of that, I get batteries, filters, check-ups etc for free for life.
They generally last me about 2-3 days constant use. -
Normally the forced whisper is a phrase. if you can hear part of it you can figure out the rest. I have CAPD but managed to pass.
I heard:
The gra ________een.....I guessed and figured it was "the grass is green" and was correct.
_____________is blue.....I guessed "the sky is blue" based on the first one talking about grass.
I got both right and passed with the doctor not knowing anything about it. If you hear any of it just guess. -
I received my new hearing aids yesterday. While with the audiologist, I asked him about the forced whisper test. He demonstrated it and I actually could hear it and knew what he said without the hearing aid on yet. I was however looking directly at him when he whispered. I do believe that I will easily hear a whisper with the hearing aids on and turned up as you suggest with no problem.
