St. Louis is a good location for new drivers to get an excellent job. You can get a CDL at 18 yrs. old, but most wait until they're 21 so they can run OTR.
Under 21, you have to stay with the state and not cross the state line.

It will be very challenging to do it that way..

First you’d need to find one that speaks English trust me you may spend the entire day looking.

Seriously, I’d certainly take the time to answer your questions but, you need to get right to the point in the first sentence. I pretty much go into bipolar mode when the beggars and wheel polishers start bugging me. Also helps if you are standing there with a coffee for me (Dark no sugar) :)

Probably not even hear a word I say because you’ll already be hooked on wanting to drive a Large car, lol

Here’s a pic of my big girl.

Maybe start with the banged up white Volvo crowd and then move up to the Hood crowd.

I used to stop at the TA west of STL all the time but got tired of the insanity there. Now prefer the Petro in Kingdom City. If that’s not out of your way then I will oblige you next time

Don't bother approaching anyone wearing sweat pants, track suits, flip flops, running shorts, or dudes wearing dresses with heels.

If you want have a one on one dialogue about trucking, feel free to PM me and ask all the questions you'd like. @Chinatown is correct. You'll get a bunch of malcontents at the truck stop if you try to talk to them direct. Even though they're negative, I think many of them secretly enjoy it. A lot of drivers try to emulate the image of a trucker as opposed to forging their own path.

Lots of trucks have two beds and fridge and microwave. We have electric A/C and heat in sleeper to cool in summer an warm in winter. The truck has 8 batteries vs regular 4 battery setup. Some trucks had diesel APU for heat and a/c when parked

Go to a dealership and pretend that you are interested in buying a truck.
