Anyone know about tarps?

You'd be better finding someone close to you that you could go look at them and pick up . Maybe Facebook marketplace or if there's any trucking companies close just call and ask. Once the tarp is ratty enough they are usually replaced and old one tossed in trash. I seen many discarded that would have plenty of material good enough for what you want on it.

Not a bad idea, but what is the weight of the pack? Everybody going ultralight, and tarp material isn't.

Who is the market?
Might not be bad for a "trendy" bag, but not gonna sell much to a thru hiker.

 

Are the euro ones canvas or vinyl. Canvas would look ok, but I don’t think vinyl would and most tarps here are vinyl.
