I work for TCS. US Container. As a company driver. Same company. Figured I'd add to this old thread since there isnt much about the company on here. The pros:
The cons:
- Nice trucks
- Not a forced dispatch. You can ask for a different load or a day off
- Friendly staff...everyone I've talked to have been great!
- Home every night or day your choice.
- 71 mph gov (some trucks 75)
- No cameras in can
- Paper logs
- Extra pay for chassis flip or trailer moves.
Thats it in a nut shell. Not a bad place to work for. Like any company there are good and bad things you just gotta find the right fit. I'm buying a truck from sfi wish me luck!
- You are pulling containers...do your own research on that animal
- They charge company drivers an escrow
- Some miles are per-diem
- Hard to get the two bonuses (just depends on the runs you get, if the rails are down a day you lose any chance of getting your mileage bonus and your availability bonus)
- .40 a mile + .05 after 2550
- Company driver responsible for maintenance log.
- Must get fuel receipts even though you are using thier comdata card
- They advertise on craigslist that you average 1400 a week before taxes....truth be told that is not an average that is thier top driver's pay. Only seen it 3x in 5 months.
- No insurance benefits.
Anyone know about Trans Continental Systems, Cincinnati?

I'm a little late coming to see this, I don't stop by here very often anymore.
@Freak_On_A_Leash , sorry it didn't work out for you. The tires definitely are an issue, can't deny that. We have had a rough year with a lot of uncontrollable factors from flooding stopping trains, to borders being shut down. All of our freight comes in on train, and most of it comes from the Southern border up into Chicago where we pull it out from and deliver it. When things like this happen its hard to get your miles when the freight just isn't there to give out. We tried to keep as many drivers busy as we could during the time. I know that didn't always work for everyone. Hope wherever you've gone you're doing well and making it work.
With that being said, in the last month business has picked back up significantly and we're back to needing drivers. We have more loads per week now than we do drivers able to run them. We're running five days a week, and Saturday is optional.
Just to clarify some of our bonuses:
Owner-Ops - $25 for picking up at Cummins each day
Owner-Ops - $0.01/mi safety bonus - Turning in payroll on time, monthly maintenance reports, work 20 days in the month, no violations for the month, turn in your logs on-time
Owner-Ops / Company-Ops - $0.05/mi productivity bonus - Run over 2,550 mi in a week.
Owner-Ops / Company-Ops - $50 Monday bonus - If you qualify for the productivity bonus AND worked on Monday getting your load up to the rail in time and back to Louisville before midnight (payroll is pretty flexible on that midnight part) then you get an additional $50.
