Recruiter at FFE told me that the solo otr 48 state drivers are getting between 2500 and 3000 miles a week. Company keeps you out 2 t0 3 weeks. Can anyone verify this?

It's 3 weeks out minimum, 2 weeks under special circumstances. I've been at ffe over a month and have only been over 2500 miles once. Some guys there really get to run though. Just depends

I normally stay out 2 week's (14 day minimum) and the mile digit's to mention are good for about the first month then you'll be doing good to get 2000. I was at the point of an average of about 1800 a week. The biggest problem is trying to get them to pay you. It was a whole month before I saw a check. Doing everything I could to run and get miles but when I got my W-2 this year from them, working for them for a solid 3 months (90 days) I made a whoping total of $3,660.38 and they fed me every excuse they could find not to pay me my last check after I quit. One line of BS was that after trailer damage repair was taken care of on a trailer that I picked up in Lancaster that was loaded and pointed it out to a mechanic before I even hooked up to it and the company tried to blame me for it. Payroll told me after everything was sorted out, it exsausted my last pay check and I called them on it in favor of BS. It took a month but I finally got it after calling and telling them if they did not pay me I was going to get on the phone with the IRS and labor board and let them know what was going on. My check was in the mail box 4 day's later.

That should tell you a lot. They don't believe in getting you home on time either. I sat in Waco without a load and without a trailer for 2 day's waiting on something to get home which put me almost 4 day's later getting home after they finally ok'ed a dead head home. I have never been home on the day that I requested so I got to where if I wanted to be home on a certain day than I would have to tell them I need to be home about a day or two prior to make it home on that day.

I've noticed they have a lot of trailer's piggy backing on train's through my area. Talked with a guy who work's for KCS (Kansas City Southern RR) the other day said he noticed a lot of their trailer's on the train's. Only difference is, it take's them about 7-10 day's to get that trailer cross country by train than the 3-4 day's it does by truck.

Then I'll expect to get home after 3 weeks, thanks for the heads up. Now that spring has sprung I'm hoping they will make good with the miles. As long as the miles are good I can deal with the lack of home time. Like I said in another post I took FFE's offer and head down to Lancaster May3 but thanks to this great forum at least I'll be well informed on what to keep a look out for.

P.S. Ill expect too stay out all 6 weeks with a trainer before I get home to even though I was told I would be able to get home once at least during training.

Spouse drove several months as solo for them (he had been out of driving for over 3 years), I joined him to run team after driving school. They use the student drivers, newbies to run LTL freight (big bucks for them) and get the trailers unloaded. I kept asking to be brought in for test so I could get off ridiculous low student pay and we could run team. They brought all the guys in on time, kept me out 2 weeks longer and guy in training told me "Your husband gets a paycheck, why are you in such a hurry?" They advertised they had lots of team freight - which they didn't. Every time a solo was late, they would position us to meet w/solo (even if we had to wait hours for them) so we could get the load delivered on time. MULTIPLE errors caught on paychecks. Refused to get us home for critical emergency w/my elderly father. Worked 3 months for them, left to go to work for CFI (back in the day) and doubled our income and satisfaction.
