Anyone know anything about FFE? On paper they appear to have a good plan for new drivers. But I have never heard of them. Does anyone out there know about them? Also I noticed alot of companies like to start newbies on dry van, but this is a refer company. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -
You can go to their website and get alot of information, they are a refer division but they also have a dry van division under the name of American Eagle. This was one of my final choices before deciding to go with McElory. The training pay is average and the pay per mile is a little above average for newbies.

Wow, Woodville, AL. I lived in Gurley for three years! It truly is a small world.
Thanks for the info. I have been on their site, but know that everyone's site is for marketing the company. That's why I like this site, good info for the most point, and most people are friendly. I didn't know about McElroy, thanks for that info. -

Well, never heard anything good about FFE, and that's from the drivers themselves. Any one here with actual FFE experience???

I"ve only pulled reefers a couple of times but I hate them. It's the consignee's, nothing but warehouse's. Lumpers, long waits and extremely picking about how early you can show up. Call a place that takes both dry and reefer loads and try to reschedule because you will be early. Much much easier with dry. just my opinion.

yes I have had some experience with FFE ,First I want to say to each his own.
With that said , If I had it to do all over again I would not even consider them for my worst enemy.
I worked for them for three month's , My home time was not anywhere near what they promised .
They said they had all kind of work for my region meaning more home time not .
All I can say is get everything in writing, If you have another option I would go with the other. JMO -
Thank you all for your input. I did some research on them and had decided they are not the company for me. Thanks again for the good info.

Yes they are a good deal for rookies, but read the fine print. If you sign up you will get 3 weeks of training to get a CDL + 2-3 months of training to prepare you for life on the road, but if you quit befor you finish your contract you WILL pay for the training. So if you hire on don't think that you can find a better deal after you have 6 months because as I remember they want you to stay a year.

They pride themselves as being honest, and they will not directly lie to you, but make sure you read the fine print. And don't lie to them or break your contract.
