A guy went to apply at the company that I work for and they’re thinking about hiring him but his license says Restrictions 24K. I looked up the K and found it. The K means that you can’t drive out of state. But the 24 I can’t find anywhere. If anyone knows I’d appreciate any feed back! Thanks
Anyone know what a Restriction 24 is on a CDL in California?

Sure it is not a medical waiver?
Hearing aids, glasses something like that?Ruben C Thanks this. -
Quick Google search says, the K means he is restricted to in state driving as you have said. 24K refers to state laws concerning "Chemical Breath Analysis". So, I'll let you put the two together, because I'm not sure I have a definitive answer and certainly don't want to guess.

Just call the DMV and ask them.
When call wait time may be 30 min or longer, but they have call back option. I had to call them and they did call me back within the timeframe.deathB4decaf and Ruben C Thank this. -

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but just what came up when I entered "Commercial Drivers License Restriction 24K". Good luck. I'm not a lawyer and don't pretend to be....but I'll bet it's somehow related to your inquiry.Ruben C Thanks this.
