I'm seeing $3/mile vented van loads posted out of Tifton and Cordele, GA going north. Anyone know what they are? Potatoes maybe?
Anyone know what these loads are.. ?

Gotcha. So what kinds of hassles will I see should I choose to accept one of these loads? I've heard that there's a lot of hurry up and waiting on the loading end? Problems with rejected loads on the receiving end? I'm considering hitting up the trailer repair place down the road to get a couple of vents installed tomorrow

I have been out in the field to load them, 400 lb woman cooking chicken, ribs on a grill. All the hands loading them drinking Jack Daniels out the bottle in100 deg heat. Good Times !!!!!

They will take most of a day to load, I always hired a lumper to unload them. Never had a load refused. The guy I hauled for paid goood, and paid cash when loaded, before I left with them . That was years ago though. -
I hauled many a load of melons. Can be good, can be a nightmare. Find a GOOD reputable broker/ shipper. Do not load for just anybody. 3 bucks a mile ain't the best rate. According to last Gov. report, trucks were short in Georgia.
whoopNride and windsmith Thank this. -
Yeah, if u decide to try a load. They used to be very neg. on the rate.
