So I am supposed to leave out on the 12th with DeBoer, haven't made up my mind yet. Sound like a decent company. Anyone with some recent experience have anything they could share? :newb:

I'd like to know more about them too. I applied for this local job they have with a day cab. Run between Wisconsin Rapids WI to the Chicago area.
I have been an O/O for the past 15years but want to let someone else pay all the bills. Just give me a pay check.

I worked for DeBoer for just under two years. Never in a million years did I see myself at a company like this, but Marten (another Wisconsin based outfit) fired me over an incident that I had absolutely nothing to do with and DeBoer was the only place that would hire me with a screwed up DAC. FYI, before the incident at Marten I had not had an accident or an incident in almost 20 years of driving, and had not had a ticket or a log book violation in at least the last five years, I'm a professional and I take this stuff seriously.

Anyhow, I made out OK at DeBoer, 45k gross first year, but no benefits ($800 a month was more than I was willing to pay). The equipment was sub par, the shops were sub par, the terminals were pathetic, they do lie to you about pay as others have noted, dispatch will tell you anything under the sun, it's a typical poorly run trucking company and it's a real shame because back in the day they used to be quite the outfit.

Bottom line, if you have a bad DAC, a DUI, or a felony, DeBoer is for you. Keep a sharp pencil and learn how to disconnect the qualcomm and you can make a living, but be prepared to drive dangerous trucks. You may also want to rent a place near Chicago, since that is where you will be spending a lot of your time.

I don't care if you buy it or not! My paycheck is just fine and the people there are nice. Small company who know you by name and not just a truck number.
