Which would probably be the first day, I do mine at least once a week and I have had it for 4 years, and was in one for a year when I first started driving.
Anyone rolling in a 589 yet?

Little update
my truck got totaled out, I bought it back, loosened everything and did some pulling and got the horn back straight, new rad support bracket 1 u joint in the column, steering box/drag/pitman arm, cross tube, 2 springs and a steer tire and she is Atleast road worthy again, I’m not fixing the hood right now, I put the rock guards on under the head lights (which I hate) and will just deal with all the cracks for atleast the winter, hood price was 12k all done and I’ll probably have 12 into the front end now, which was of course all new 2 years ago.
went to pick up my new bumper today and Pete in bow NH had a 589 out front with the 74” bunk so I pulled in to poke around, it was a heavy spec short hood so nothing I wanted and figured that would keep me away from an impulse buy, as I spun in the seat and crouched to go into the bunk the gf asks WTF are you doing? So I awkwardly turn to ask what and realize… I can pretty much stand up in the drivers seat, maybe I’m just getting old but holy hell was it nice to be able to move around as I’ve got the small hole 60” on mine, I need to get back to work and I’ve been trying to buy a new trailer for over a year now so those are definitely priorities, but there is going to be a 589 in my future at some point before I take the old w9 back down to do body work and push her back to spare truck, (which I have also been wanting)
Hoping to load next Friday, I sprained my left hand and bruised the tendon by the base of my pinky from what I would guess was death gripping the wheel during the accident, nothing broken but I have limited grip before it gets painful, specialist said it could take a few months to heal, guess I’ll just have to load a little lighter so I don’t have to stack cases
also I changed insurance companies, I about cried when they came back with a 21k quote, progressive sent me a renewal for 54k last week, fck themOpendeckin, Ruthless, Long FLD and 2 others Thank this. -
I don't know being able to stand up out of the driver's seat would be ok, but I just don't like the wide caB setups, 99% of the time I am by myself and just set all my things on the passenger seat within easy reach and the seat being out of arms reach really messes with me. If I had someone riding with me all the time it would be easier to get used to, but that ain't happening anytime soon so I will stick with the narrow cab
Opendeckin and Oxbow Thank this.
