Well actually on hold now, front frame extensions are discontinued, no idea where to get parts also there’s a #### more hairline cracks in the hood then I originally paid attention too, body guy says knowing me I’ll be really unhappy in 6 months when they come back, joy.
got the police report and they are supposed to be filing criminal charges on the other driver, will wait until it’s resolved to share the dash cam footage with the groupLast edited: Oct 16, 2024

Also it hasn’t even been a week and I’m pretty sure the cat is sick of sharing his house with me and interrupting his naps with phone calls

As far as 589s go, Dobbs up in Little Rock had quite of few on their lot last time I was up that way. I know their shop in Shreveport has been trying to move some flat tops for months. MHC has quite of few W900s in stock they are VERY motivated to sell if you can get over the 06+ dash.broke down plumber, Concorde, Opendeckin and 1 other person Thank this. -
The front rail sections are pretty simple pieces. You could probably get some new ones custom fabricated without much trouble.Rubber duck kw, broke down plumber, abyliks and 1 other person Thank this. -
What year is your W9 and is it an L or a short hood? I might have a whole set of used frame horns/rad support/whatever from a salvage truck I bought for the engine that I could sell. Its a 2005 W900L that had a cab fire. The frame is all rotted out under the 5th wheel but the front half of it doesn't look bad. I can give you the last 6 of the VIN so you can confirm they'd fit your truck. I'm 4 hours south from Springfield Mass.
Also, don't be afraid of a Jones aftermarket hood. They fit very well and seem to hold up as well as the factory fiberglass does. I'm not a fan of the plastic metton hoods at all. They're supposed to be lighter but the beams near the firewall fall apart after a while and that material is miserable to repair.Sons Hero, broke down plumber, abyliks and 4 others Thank this. -
1997, Long hood, but flat glass, would have to double check #s
I’ve actually got a jones hood on it now that I put on when I went through it, previous one had elk damage, seems to have held up to standard abuse fine, lot of spider cracks in it now after taking a Kia at ~60
