    Just FYI any belly dump I've ever seen are air cylinders, not hydraulic.

    For a belly dump you won't need hydraulics, but you should definitely make sure your air system is in tip-top shape. For an end dump you would need to modify the existing hydraulic system. At a minimum you would need a control valve. A bigger tank and/or a stronger pump might also be necessary.

    Do you think a 1992 T800 with the N14 is too old of a truck. I have been researching that N14 and seems like an engine that is not too complicated to work on. Thanks

    That would probably be just fine, as long as the company and the insurance will allow it, and if parts are still available. But the oilfield is really hard on equipment, so go through it and replace everything that could possibly be worn out. And give it a good greasing every couple of weeks.
