45 CPM with a weekly average of 2,600 paid miles is $58,000. You can do that with ease at any mega.

Add in health and 401k match and you're easily over $60,000.

Considering that I made 52 CPM to the hub last year at a mega I would say $60,000 would be below average compensation working a 5 day week, 50 weeks year.

Come on guys ... the point is, that you are claiming the average pay is 60k a year. Saying you can find a job that pays that doesn't make it the average pay.

Umm i didn't say that was average pay for trucking in general. I said that's on the low side of average for a guy with a good record and experience. A newbie just starting out or a guy that gets tickets and involved in accidents or has a history of job hoping won't get a good paying job.

The facts are most trucking jobs pay crap. And most truck drivers are stuck working for those crap low paying carriers due to either being brand new, or having something that keeps them from a better gig. But on the flip side, because so many drivers are so undesirable for one reason or another, it's extremely easy to elevate yourself into the top 20% and get one of the good paying jobs. Will you get it right out of cdl school? Of course not. But keep your nose clean and make good decisions and in a couple years a 60k+ job is pretty darn easy to land.

About as accurate as TTR, since it's self reporting. Do you really believe the average salary at USA Truck is 84k?

This I agree with. The jobs are there. But those employers have the pick of the litter. And there's a lot of runts in the litter.

The point was and still is that he's not doing anything spectacular, in one sentence he's got a lot of money, in another he's factoring his loads.

Yes but because the vast majority are runts, Its extremely easy to be the pick of the litter. There is a very high demand for a good experienced driver that has a clean record and doesn't have a history of job hopping.

If anyone is interested in knowing I just worked at Celadon for the last 2 months doing a L/P.
My average was 2,500 mi per week and my average net pay was $400 per week. That's a whopping .16 cents per mile, half of what a company driver makes.lol anyone that has anything nice to say about this program is a corporate shill pretending to be a driver. There's no other explanation for a positive review.
