Im not Seebs, but will answer on my experience. Figure 1 week for Orientation, (7days). Then you are on the road and it becomes a training issue. I spent 131 hours driving before I made it back into the Spring Mo for upgrade to TNT. Doesn't sound like a lot of time does it, was actually 4.5 weeks. Then figure 4 days in Spring MO, backing practice etc. and then back out on the road for another 30k of miles or until your trainer says you are ready to upgrade. Keep in mind that Winter is here and the Winter driving experience is greatly needed, so you may want to stay with your trainer until March and then upgrade if not before. I figure that I will stay with my trainer till the end of Jan, as I have alot of cold weather driving experience, just not OTR. Lived in AK for 4 years and drove Internationals pulling 40' trailers around town. Alot different I know, same principals though, go slow, easy on brakes, do nothing quick.
    Hope this helps you.

I took from May 17th to October 24 to get mine, but I did more training than was required. Also switched to flatbed so that was an extra month. I second the staying on your trainers truck for the winter. Having someone there who knows what their doin is the best idea

I started July 20 and will be done Dec 5 I switched to flatbed also so that was an extra month other than that I would have been solo a month ago.....sticking with a trainer thru out the winter would be beneficial as the weather can be tricky I also suspect that it may be a little challenging to get an instructor/trainer during these months.....some I've spoken to say they don't train during the winter

FYI was watching american trucker the other night and seen that on Donner Pass they have a push truck if you loose traction and are stuck.

It took me a little over 4 months to get my truck.

Even better. Don't go up Donner in that crap. The accident at the end of that episode says enough.

thanks guy. yes i guess it would be better to have someone with me during the winter training. since i live in CA..so i have never drive it in snowing weather.
another stupid question what size of duffle bag should i bring it to the truck and training? because i dont know about the storage on the truck and i dont want to bring a bag that is too large and take up all the storage

I brought a military sea bag, a backpack, and laptop bag. Worked out fine.
