    How did we ever survive???
Actually I do miss trucking in the pre cellphone days. Seems that drivers were a lot more friendly and professional. Having to stop at least once a day at the diner and use the table phone to make your check call caused a lot more conversations.

I miss this one. If somebody called and you weren't home.......you never knew!

Still have one in our kitchen! It worked when I moved in 2014. We left it up till we remodel because the kids like playing with it.

Still have a landline and analog phone in our house. When the power goes out, we can still call out and receive calls.

I guess ya figured it out lol, when is tsrted trucking, inhad a flip phone, the smart phones were really beginning to pick up steam. Honestly, I don't think I'd want to live in the pre-smart phone era. The interaction has changed, even from when I started in 2010. The smart phones are very much and enhancer for trucking.

3g is being phased out end of 2021

So your flip phone may no longer work

Why not this? I mean one can mount it on the dash.

but I get ya. I’m tired of all the sounds my iPhone makes, I put it on DND and approve numbers to call me.

Don’t go making sense on this thread. It’s having the worlds knowledge (and being able to communicate with the entire world from anywhere)in your hand that ruined trucking, not because theres 3X the trucks on the road and 1/2 the parking. Remember that. Also its the ELDs fault too, not because guys were snorting crank and driving 30 hours straight.
