i cannot see a sports car in gray, nope, i just cannot see it. gray always was and always will be an old man's color, of which i am, but my new ride is black. red, orange, yellow, white, black, lime green, maybe even British racing green for some cars, now those are sports cars colors...to me at least. but GRAAAYYYYYY.........................?????????????????????
It was a common conversion to stuff V8 engines in them. The cars were very light so they were fast as long as you could get traction off the line. The downside was that they unibody construction. In order to avoid twisting the body from the torque we welded in subframes and braces. The cars were cheap to buy so made for good starting points, the money could be spent on the engine, transmission and driveline to build some amazing rides.
Long time friend of mine went into the Marines out of high school and was in Desert Storm and Somolia during the 90’s. He did 8 years and then drove with me for a while until the Toyota plant opened up in San Antonio. He is the main QC inspector on the line. Lots of retired military work there. The employee nicknames for the two ugliest recent Tundra colors are “Poop deck Grey” and “Taliban Tan”. Lol!
Update: the stealership caved!!! #greedymotherf******* https://www.autoevolution.com/news/...ises-to-sell-corvette-z06-at-msrp-196738.html
There is a reason that 3 dealers sell almost all of the Corvettes. Before owning one, I didn't know any better either.
Watched a you tube video where gm/Chevy dealerships were going to lose their allotment of specialty cars unless they smartened up
The fact that they caved and changed the sale price back to MSRP tells me they know they're gouging people an insane amount. I bet they blamed Covid for the prices too.
I had a meme here, but...to quote captain america from one of those movies..."Language!". An I'm to lazy to censor it. I have no dog in this fight. I got better things to spend money on. Booze and hookers ain't cheap yall. Sirscrapntruckalot -
i was just going to say basically the same thing, that, or GM can pull thier franchise, suspend it, close them down, what ever. GM does not need this type of advertising.
