Hey guys, I notice alot of people think it's one year. I'm not very good at math, but with a balance of $2,000 after the initial $500, $20 dedutcted every week, adds up to 100 weeks. More like a 2 year contract.

Yes, thier new contract is, you need to stay 1yr (if you pay in full or $500 then deductions)If you leave early then they charge you an additional $2500 penalty plus whatever you had left from schooling note.I think I'd just wait to get 1yr experience and if I wanted to still go with MILLIS I'd then sign up.

Hey all. I m a newb here and have been looking for training and a decent company to work for. I live in South Central Mo and would like to know if Millis hires in this area? I dont mind driving out East {just not NYC}. I have researched the sight and read all comments on this forum and sounds like Millis could be for me. I just want an honest opinion from Millis drivers before I call a recruiter. I will be looking into Crete and Roehl considering I see them driving through my town on a daily basis and have heard somewhat good things about them. I do however like what I am hearing about Millis and would give it very serious thought even though I do live bout 4hrs West of that mighty muddy river. I am going to do something very soon considering right now, I am making 8.45/hr rebuilding soda machines at a local dead end factory. So any input and or opinions will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I do have to agree that Millis has the best training pay hands down. I also think that compared to what others are saying about other companies out there, that Millis does seem to really treat their drivers like family, as long as you give them an honest days work. Well, thanks again and good luck Bigdaddy.

Not approved by Anderson taking someone with more experience I guess. Scheduled at CFI/CONWAY TRUCKLOAD for orientation on the 25th of Feb, Also scheduled myself to goto Millis for March 3rd.Better to be prepared and can make decision later this month. I always liked Millis and I need the experience.
Due to the school I attend not being approved (teamster academy)I cannot go to CFI or CRETE. -
Going to MILLIS March 3rd. I've talked to some current drivers and asked advice from several on their board. I gotten mixed reviews because I'll already have my CDL when I go there. But after looking at what they pay for a newbie, plus the bonus pay its hard to turn down. Something always brought me back to looking at Millis. I will keep my options open for local work/union work but with me running out of unemployment and what they're offering its hard to turn down. At-least I'll be ahead of the game at MTI having driven 28 ft,pre trip, maneuvers, coupling, uncoupling etc. I'd get more practice on 48's and 53 fts. Anyone else going to March 3rd in Cartersville, Ga.
