Anyone Work For Millis?

Go back and read through some of the archives. Follow some of the training post and when you start to come to the end it all changes. Somethings going on and its starting to become a trend since the end of last year.
Once again my question is whats going on with MILLIS? I like Milis and wanted to go there badly after all of the research I did. I'm just asking the question hoping drivers from Millis will check into it and respond like Mark 9 did. He has always been honest and straight forward with any questions I've had about Milis.

 

Everything you are saying is true. The issue is the students are NOT GETTING THE JOB> They are sending them home before they finish training.The completed MTI(schooling). Then go out with the trainer and something happens after they're told they're doing fine. Thats why I raised the question. I've sent a lot pf friends in MILLIS direction and was a big supporter(free advertisment )for them at my school and to others thats why I'm concerned. I plan on getting a year at home and if I still want to do otr I'd look into MILLIS but would probably go with SUPERIOR CARRIERS. Thanks

If a student just doesn't get it ... I would think they would boot them or if they miss classes they boot them . If they are in the truck with a trainer, and have a accident or keep doing wrong things even after classroom training they may send them home. If they lie on the application ...
Lets face it , there is 2 sides to a story like this . Millis tries to pick the best , but if some student is going to be mouthy or thinks that a rule is stupid they may not be hired and IF they get a ticket or do damage some where THEY WON'T be HIRED. (not saying this has happened its jmo)
also there are some that think that they know more than the trainer , or even in the classroom.

 

SO TRUE. THEIR ARE PEOPLE THAT JUST DONT GET IT AND SHOULDN'T BE TRUCK DRIVERS AND THEN THEIR ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. IF THEY DON'T HAVE IT THEY DON'T HAVE IT. LIKE I SAID BEFORE I LIKE MILIS AND STILL WONDER WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN IF I WENT 4 WKS AGO. I'D BE IN ORIENTATION NOW OR WAITING FOR A TRAINER. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS(NOT YELLING)

 

I meet a Millis driver today at my new job. His name is charles and he's from michigan. He answered all my questions, he's been there for 2 yrs and loves it. He loves his home time and gets it when he ask for it no problems he said. Its funny that I was going to go to Millis and I run into a Millis driver at my job picking up glass(bottles) that I bring back daily. It was great meeting charles and getting positive info about Millis. Plus, I know they can get me home if I went OTR for them.

 

well we do deliver in RI, plus we pick up on in west warwick on occasion, if not there then in mass. so getting home and getting a load after hometime shouldn't be an issue

 

They pick up aluminum at my job in (taunton,Ma) .

hi guys and gal

been reading this post from the beginning ,
i just put my application in with mills , but the last few pages have me concerned now , whats the real story with going threw the training just to get turned down for employment

i already have my med card and CDLI with all endorsements but hazmat / bus and I'm working on hazmat ,

it has me a little concerned with the not being hired on after going threw the training or is this just isolated incidents
