what didn't you understand about "500k isn't allot of miles but it's more than many companies run them"
nothing wrong with it. I've driven many trucks over a million miles but I owned them they were not co trucks -
they're great i feel. but i wished they had more freight to chose from other than beer, glass, and paper. i hear all the time they used to be 48 state but i mostly run east of the mississippi

Hey guys my first post here
. I am seriously thinking of going back into trucking after taking off the last 27 years LOL to raise a family. Millis seems like a very good company to work for and I would be interested to hear from any other Millis drivers on their experiences working for the company starting out fresh. Any one on here based in CT or the New England region? I would be going back to school through their training program as I let my CDL lapse many years ago. Do they run anything out west or is it mostly east of the Mississippi river runs currently?

90-99% is east of the mississippi. They have occasional runs to Cali, Texas and i believe Seattle.
btw they have a few more 08's in. KW T-800 -
Thanks for the reply! I just got off the phone with Millis regarding their school and training programs along with driving opportunities that they currently have available. I am still doing lots of research on trucking and have narrowed my choices to a few remaining companies that appear to be a good fit. Hopefully I will be restarting my driving career around the first of the year. Thanks in advance for any additional information from drivers on their Millis experiences.

They do haul scap metal and they also do broker loads , also they haul John Deere Parts and mowers .. and you can ask for runs west of the Miss. If they have them they will keep you in mind.

Thanks for the reply! Sounds like they have some decent miles and keep the drivers happy? Any negatives anyone can share from a personal viewpoint? They are probably my first choice at this point to get back on the road and I want to be well educated before making my final decision!
