Nope, company driver in a union shop. 2K is a bit high though. I probably average somewhere between 1500-2000 a week with a good week being 3000 and a slow one around 1000. Those are gross numbers, not net BTW.
It takes a bit of time learning the job to get to that point, but if you can't do that six month into it you're either not trying or you just don't have the knack for it. Most of our guys do very well and work about 8 months a year. -
I used to haul crude in the EF. I wouldn't go back for anything less than 3K a week. Oilfield is a PITA.

I dunno I pull pneumatic and sand box is always sitting here and there, I hear greatwide got into it to..im doing good with pnuem, but the company is crap, as usual..lol always lies, lies lies but if thr $is right i just suck it up... -
I hear sharing chassis is a big issue tho...
