I think you're on the right track, sounds like you been dropping muscle weight and probably gaining fat. Consuming protein after exercise should slow it down.

I am working on a diet of Muscle Milk 6 1 scoop shakes a day.... I know it will cut some fat over time but, I will have to incorporate exercise in the near future. In Iraq, I used the same diet only, I was consuming 1800 calories and working out twice a day, for 6 days and than 3 days off. Was out of the fence and no working out was available for 3 days. I would run on a treadmill for an hour or two and than later that night, I would work upper body with weights but, not too heavy, just to maintain and cut. It worked, I lost 35lbs and was at 155, first time since just after high school. Of course since then, I have gained it all back plus some....

I got resistance bands and I just got a weighted vest to do pushups and squats. Also running couple of times with 70lbs around the rest area will do enough cardio for me. The only thing I cant figure out is how to do pull ups on the road. I need ideas on how to set up a pull up bar.
I started driving 3 weeks ago and on the second day went to local Lifetime fitness in AL. Those people were not amused seeing me there in my big rig with a 53 footer:biggrin_255:

When I drove for Gordon, found an Ab Slider from Sams Club that would just fit between shifter and sleeper. Could just get around it but could.

Tried to make a point of doing 10-20 reps every time got in, left cab, sleeper. Gained weight this summer, decided not to get back into a truck until I lose 15 pounds. However long it takes.

Waded chest-deep at the Spencer (Indiana) Y pool for little over an hour yesterday. Yuppo, my runs to Prairie du Chien hafta wait...

I try to walk. Staying at a rest area is ideal for walking. Usually safe sidewalks to walk on. I dont walk as much at truck stops. The setup is just not walker friendly. Dangerous with the big trucks speedin through the parking lots. Most of the roadways around the truck stops arent walker friendly... but some are. Ive walked around my truck alot parked at a shipper/reciever, up and down the block. Beats laying in the bunk reading and eating Cheetoes.
It all comes down to doing it when you have a chance. There is no consistancy in trucking...one day walking on the 30 min break works, next day it doesnt. Sometimes you get to the rest area and its dark and rainy, other times its gorgeous and an hr walk is easy. Sometimes the only excersize is walking from the truck to the bathroom...so park far away... I always try to park far away so no matter what, I get that walk in. Some truckers dont take 100 steps in a day....
I bring food. I try to eat balanced. Salad, veg, meat, starch. I cook at home. Package individual sized portions in ziplock bags. Meat loaf, stir fry, stews, ect.
Takes effort. Some nights I still walk in and get a high calorie salty meal... just dont have the energy to heat up my own food.
My downfall is snacks. Chips, candy, carbs... once I start, its hard to stop. I always keep some fruit and granola bars
Im trying to get serious about my weight. I swear, ive weighed between 200-250 these past 2 years...up... then down... always losing the same weight...lose it....then regain it...terrible cycle it be stuck in..

If you have a smartphone, go to/install google maps, go to the options, and select "bicycling", it will show you all the bike routes in your area. There are also many free apps (map my fitness, endomondo etc.) that will track how far you went and record your route. I have found them helpful for keeping me motivated and provide a record of my mileage.

PM me if you need any help with any of that.

If the people in charge do not have a problem with you being there with your truck and 53 foot trailer, then I would not worry about what the rest of the people at the facility are saying.

Good luck on your fitness program!
