If you see wheels coming off and no response on the CB, call 911 and report it. Those wheels are deadly weapons when they come off.

Wheels can be deadly, thankfully many times they go out into pasture's, or the woods, & do not damage.

Once in Phoenix I saw a spare time come out of another trucks spare tire rack on its trailer, the interstate was full of traffic, yet the tire missed the cars & rolled harmless into the median. The truck kept going.

The bull wagon i spoke of earlier that lost a trailer tire, I got a response, but it was not nice, & in that day there was no such thing as 911, nor cell phones.

Sad, some truckers run from trouble or damage they may cause, & I suppose there will always be that type on the road, both in cars & trucks.

I would suggest if the tire causes damage & they do not stop it would be a good idea to make a phone call & if no damage is caused, let it go.

One trip to California I knew another of our trucks was ahead of me going to the same place. I pulled into our fuel stop at Quartzsite, AZ, & he was parked out to the side sleeping. I woke him up, & somewhere east of Quartzsite he had lost his two back wheels on his trailer. He did not realize it until he was checking his tire when fueling up. Both tires, brake drum, & all were gone.

It can surely happen without the driver knowing it, until he stops & checks his tires, that is something I did every time I stopped back in my trucking days.
