Anything good about Werner?

Well, If you're a rookie looking to break in the industry. Realize it's a starter company and I hope you're a quick study. Don't take the tuition reimbursement, keep yourself open to your eventual exit. Know that you're going to get pimped at some point during training. If you can run Canada and have a Hazardous endorsement you've just made carved yourself a little better niche than the rest. Learn fast, get a Fast Card and points cards and just keep hope in the fact that you're suffering for your own cause. Make your own way and move on when the time comes. I guess ol' Clarence would be proud to know that his monster is actually a stepping stone for some decent folk left in the world!

 

Many of the trucks at the Spingfield ,OH TERM ,Dallas TX TERM ,Omaha term are not trucks in route to dealer for sale they are brand new trucks that werner has on their lot ,and is waiting to put on the road...you see Werner does not pay for these trucks until they take delivery ,and despite the trucks being on the lot they have taken deivery until they put them on the road .


As to the junkyard comment ...yes the springfield terminal lot resembles a junkyard as do many werner yards ,as they keep many wrecked truck carcas there for parts stripping ,Also Werner typicaly does not fix non safety related truck damage ..IE BENT STEPS,BUMPERS,And fairings and has such a high turnover rate their trucks are always taking rookie damage of the items I just mentioned ,But never get repaired ,So much of the fleet looks like it should be on a hook .




As for actual breakdowns ...No Werner has very good mechanical up keep with service at abut every 3500 gallons ,And replaces most parts designed to wear out ...like brakes/tires long before dot requiremets dictate they need to .





You must not have a real thick skin to be "DISGUSTED" by a few posts containing negative comments about a company that is as low rent as Werner ,And especially since most negative comments are based on fact ...Do you work a non driving job for... DRIVERS MANAGEMENT LLC ?

 

I drove past DalTX the other day and to my horror saw no less then a hundred brand new shiney Werner Blue International ProStars...

 

Don't worry once issued they will not be shiney and new for long .

 

What fact did you bring to the table? Nothing. Just a lot of stuff that you dont have a clue what you are talking about. As I said, if you are a Werner employee in any capacity, be it a driver or an inside person and you don't like your employer or your job, you have the choice of quiting or doing your job.
And no I do NOT work for Werner in any capacity. I sincerely do not, but I read these posts written by people who don't have a clue what they are talking about. If you are going to tell us about all the things wrong with the company, get some guts, and tell us what you do there. When you do that then maybe someone will believe you until then unless you have fact and not fiction, take it somewhere else.
I am involved in the trucking industry and I want to see companies profit so that we can all make a living and feed our familiies.

 

Well actually everything I said was/is fact ,and completely discredits your post inwhich you tried to explain why some things look like they do at werner with explanations ,which were completely wrong ...And supporting companies like Werner will not improve trucking .

 

I have two questions to ask you. Are you a shipper? Are you familar with Werner's rates and/or their rate structure?

 

The plan is that they are taking approx. 500 off the road. This is not top secret, it's been announced.

 

Not sure what's worse, Werner or Born again Christians .

 

You chose not to understand my first and previous post, whether it was deliberate or not who knows...
You think you know everything and I know that I know some things, so we are at crossroads, now aren't we? Unless you can prove to me that you are C. L. Werner or his son Greg I do not know that you are correct. I posted things that I do know to be correct. Again we are at the crossroads. I stated that I do not work for the corporation, you choose not to reply when I asked what your posistion in the company is. And I never said that I supported or didn't support Werner. You assumed that I do.

Remember how many people Werner employs, how many families it supports and how many outside vendors rely on the business that a large company like Werner gives them. Like it or not a lot of people rely on them.

If you are so unhappy at Werner or so bitter toward the company, QUIT.

My parting remark to you is, that if you think that I am going to become involved in a p***ing contest with you, you are even less intelligent that I originally thought you were.
