NO, you will not make .75/mi, .30-33 maybe, yes you may have to spend the week on the road with a trainer, if its the only place you can go then go. Getting home every weekend??? I seriously doubt it, but because you don't stay far from Nashville, anything is possible. I hear stories about van drivers in the NE region getting home every weekend.

You will live in the North East. Do you want to be there this time of year? I would contact Swift in Decatur GA. (Atlanta) Swift has a great CSA rating. W-E's sucks! You will get inspected at the scales a bunch.

Sure Wish I had a Faster Truck. I have guys coming from Swift, Werner,C.R England, Schneider coming through my orientation all of the time... The N.E. is where the freight is.......... I also believe we just started a S.E.REGIONAL Fleet but don't quote me on that.

I was at Swift 15months. There is an ad right now for the Memphis. You can chose to stay out of the NE. I did. Read my signature. If you are going to get rolling you need to get off it. You can't be picky. W-E can end up hurting your CSA score making you ineligible at any decent company. I could see W-E from our school in Nashville. We went there for a "field trip." I came away with a bad taste in my mouth. Their head recruiter had a sucky attitude. And he told us they live in the North East. I never hit MA, CT, or any or NYC. You will see NYC with W-E. You will be pushed to run illegall.

Swift has EZ-Prepass. We usually got to by pass the scales.

I talk smack about Swift. They were a vehicle to experience, and now I am home every night. I was out of trucking for over 20 years. I went to Swift in Feb 2010.

Yep I agree. A beginner needs to do what they need to do to get experience. Swift sucked in many ways. They were good in many ways. The prepass usually had a green light to bypass the scales because of Swift's CSA scores. Not true with W-E. Swift was good with getting things fixed on the road. I don't need someone to powder my butt and tell me I am doing good. I need consistent money. W-E will starve you out if you stand up for yourself. Most recent person I hauled fuel with told me W-E did it to him, and screwed with him on his home time.
