Ive been searching through here looking and apparently it is a new thing they are doing but still was wondering if anyone is in training now and has seen a check with this done? do you get 375 minus taxes or 375 minus $200 for training and what ever your taxes come out to?
cause <$175 a week is gonna be a rough one and i need to figure out my finances -
i would imagine taxes come out first then 200. yea the part about losing $200 a week certainly makes it rough and does't seem fair,my brother inlaw who is a extrainer says it goes in the trainers pocket for a bonus in training you plus he gets your miles and his. my recruiter says i should only be out a week or 2 with my trainer because i'm not a student and i've got a few yrs under my belt so i guess i can improvise for that short time. i'd just soon they hand me some keys and my first mission and make some real money, but i suppose they want to see what they are hiring first.

thats some bs man! i have to pay taxes on HIS bonus and fund it? I hate to say this but I almost wish I woulda stayed with swift. thanks for the info, btw it is only for 3 weeks right?

well thats what the recruiter says, a western express driver told me 4-6 weeks is the average training time,so who knows. i want to go then i hear more complaints on this forum about them.but like warren who is my brother inlaw extrainer says, you can't go by a few drivers who probably had a bad experience. just go and try it,see for yourself . i like western express because of the northeast run and they go by my front door sometimes . maybe i'll flag one down and shoot the #### with him.think he'll pull over?lol

There the ONLY company that will hire me,i did their orientation. They told me id have to go out with trainer ,wont see home for at least 6 weeks.I just graduated driving school, they want me for flat.I did not return, they just called and asked if i found job yet(there either desperate or running a scam).I will have to bite a bullet and go,any suggestions or opinions?

Or do you think i should run under my own authority.drove for North American and Shaw back in the day, like 1988

well I may go to swift cause all the stuff i see about WE and DOT going after them thats the last thing I need. so if you finish orientation with WE you dont HAVE to drive for them or will it just put a blemish on your dac -
