AOBRD vs ELD

the fleet key comes with the eld you have to buy a driver key $40, the fleet key sets up the eld and the driver key collects all the driver info you can watch the vids on youtube it will explain it better than I can.

 

We are running AOBRD via Big Road App on an LG tablet mounted to the side of the dash, connected to the OBD port with a datalink unit that interfaces with the trucks computer.

 

A little off topic but congrats to you @Hurst for giving it a go. Being a fleet owner isn't for everyone & most of the old timers that tried to discourage you aren't cut out for it. Just like a lot of drivers aren't cut out to be O/Os. What if everyone would've listened to the old timers, there would be no company driver positions at all. It's good to listen to the ones that tried it (although a lot with a negative opinion never have) to learn why they didn't make it, why the hawks m hassles weren't worth it to them, & to learn what to expect but don't base your decision to do it or not to do it on their experience/opinion. Which manufactures eld are you using?

 

Mine is KeepTruckin and it is still resting on the shelve of my garage.

 

I'm planning to get keep trucking ELD and install before deadline so I can use as AOBRD.
Just curios does it allow PC and other editing in AOBRD mode?

 

For the lack of my enthusiasm in researching the subject too much, I think, I get that one too and be over with it.
Have you tested it though?
