I went to work for Apex back at the begining of August 08 when they decided to move a terminal here to East Tx to haul frac-sand out to the oilfields. Everything seemed to be on the up and up, pay package, benefits, and the company itself all seemed impressive. Went to Adelanto Ca for two week for orientation and training on pneumatic trailers met a lot of nice people. Finally got back home ready to work and then the B.S. started. 1st they were still waiting on construction of the sand plant to be finished, NOT A BIG DEAL, as they garuantee the Tx drivers a minimum 640 a week before taxes as long as you are available for work mon-fri, so all the drivers were under the impression that we would be workin anyday now. Finally in the 2nd week of September I went back to hauling fuel. A couple friends of mine stayed and they say its been one bad deal after the other. Its now going on the 2nd week of January and they still are'nt working and still collecting minimum pay with no signs of going to work anytime soon. My suggestion would be to talk with one of there drivers in your area it may be completly diffrent over closer to the west coast. Best of luck to you and I hope you find a better job there than I did
You heard wrong, son. "SLAVEPEX", huh?? That's clever. Talk to a driver...not to people "where your from"...LOL
