Sooooooooo...are you saying you got fired because you kept setting off the Drive-Cam because you were swerving while using the Qualcomm, while also talking on your LEGAL phone headset, and at the same time trying to fudge your logs, which is against company policy?? Or where you just trying to get away with something and don't like the fact that you could get caught??
HELL...With all your doing behind the wheel, when do you have time to look at the road ahead of you?? You're too much of a liability, I'd fire ya, too!!!........
This is what I meant by guys having bad attitudes about the job and the company requirements in my previous post. If you don't want to follow policy, the company is better off without you. Sorry to put it so bluntly, but it's true.

If you're happy working for Apex, then God bless.
But a simple word of warning if I may. I strongly advise against posting your name and truck number. Let me know if you change your mind and want it removed. It CAN and WILL come back to haunt you. -
I appreciate and thank you for the advise. I don't feel I was being negative in any way, so I've abbreviated my name, but will still keep it posted.
Thanks again for the advise.....Last edited: Mar 3, 2014

No problem.
However I must remove your truck number, because the staff feels it could be viewed as recruiting. -
Hmmmm.....apex has alot of turn over because most drivers have bad additudes and won't follow the rules of apex but they do have a couple of drivers ,who love apex and will do anything apex tells them to do....the value for a 60 hr week will be about 1200 before taxes are taken out ....apex does have a few new trucks but only for those drivers who follow the rules closely and submit to the demands of apex ......as a veteran driver i can see they are using basic tactics for controlling ,dumbing down their driving force ,little pay checks ,using weapons like DAC reports ,putting the heat on their drivers with unrealistic window times ,making a driver sweat bullets for writing his equipment up for repairs and the list goes on ....THE TRUTH IS WITHOUT DRIVERS THEY DON'T HAVE A JOB ....i drive for my family the value of any trucking company is based on the value of my wage and comfort of my family ...i come to table with a fair handshake and expect the same ,having a good attitude is a key in any job ....being degraded, controlled like a dog ,jumping thru hoops ,sucking up for brownie points ...is not my style .....good luck apex drivers ...you won't see drivers like me pulling their frght for crumbs and walking the line while you and your babies learn to live with less and less
trailmaker and bigdogpile Thank this. -
I don't understand what you mean by "submit to the demands of Apex"?? Just like all the trucking companies in existence, we have customers that require our services to continue to be productive. As drivers, we get paid to complete the obligations agreed upon between the company and our customers. Your a driver.....don't you submit to the demands of the person or people paying you?? If not, you can't be making much money, or that truck must have a good layer of dust on it. As far as saying we are being degraded, I have a great deal of respect...not only for myself, but for my employer and my customers. I wouldn't be working for a company if I felt I was being taken advantage of.
Like I said in earlier posts, I have 22 years under my belt, 5 years at Apex. If you think I'm staying at Apex because I'm a rookie that doesn't know any better, or have such low self-esteem that I let people trample on me, then you are completely off base, my friend. Apex treats all company drivers the way companies should treat their drivers, with respect, support, and a genuine sense of caring. You can't say that about many companies. THAT is why I will defend Apex from any nay-sayers.
Let me put it like this...It is up to the individual driver, when employed by a company, to respect the policies a company has put forth as a foundation for success. If that driver has no respect for his or her company, and continues to break rules and policies, than expecting to stay employed at that same company will eventually be the downfall of that business.
Have a nice day, and keep the wheels rolling (on YOUR terms, of course)!!

Are you still with apexbulk? I have questions if you're available. Thanks
Kc -
Hi KC,
Yes, I'm still with Apex, although I am off for medical leave right now. I am currently counting down the days that I get back behind the wheel. It's quite boring sitting at home waiting for doctors to give me the green light, but rules are rules!! If you have any questions, please ask. I will answer to the best of my ability...or get the question(s) answered for you...RWtrailmaker Thanks this.
