That's how I got my CDL... Went to the US Army Trucking School at Ft Leonard Wood, served a couple decades driving all types of equipment all over the world, shot some weapons out of the turrets when necessary, and then took some paperwork to my Commanding Officer, took the written test at the DMV, and was handed a fresh CDL, ready to go to work.

Only cost me some time, yet I was paid for all of it.

 

OP sounds like a young single guy... If a young single guy cant put away $7k in a year or less, somethings wrong. Or am I mistaken???

 

You're mistaken. These days, a young guy can drop $7k a year on Starbucks and skinny jeans.

Paid 5K myself in 2019 to go to school. Put it on a credit card and made it work. Nothing but Air and Opportunity if you are willing to make it happen.

 

Like I said, Something is wrong... with young folk these days.

 

Everyone is a slave to one system or another. It doesn't matter if you are a hermit living in the mountains and eating tree bark, a monk in a monastery, or mid-level manager at a call center. It's just a matter of deciding how you think about your system.
