I don't like the low sound quality, lack of buffering in the available hardware, or the mundane/limited/repetitive playlist..
I will dance a jig when the antiquated satellites "XM" uses finally dies.

Anyways. Spotify is making me very happy. I’ve been blazing through music and started a great history podcast series. I can’t believe I settled for the free pandora app for so long. I’m OTR. I needed this.

The thing I love about satellite radio is just the sheer variety of content. Sometimes I need something different, so being able to find a talk show, sports, or even comedy, is awesome to me. Plus it's easier (I've found) to get reception is some areas where you can't get cell signal.
That being said, I recently got Spotify myself and have been happy with it so far.IluvCATS Thanks this. -
I have a hard drive with high bitrate or flac/lossless music files of everything I like to listen to. 100s of Gigs of music, actually probably 2-3Tb. I've cloned the hard drive to another one so that I have a backup. I just add albums to my phone or tablet since I have downloaded them from torrents or from soulseek. Much higher quality than the FM quality that is streamed and uses up gigs of data on my phone for no reason.
Why pay a corporation a subscription fee to play compressed music at random for me when I can listen to higher quality for free?
