Could you ask this question in another thread, or start a new thread? It's sort of hijacking my thread and I'm still getting advice from people on the subject.
No; it was a response to another poster saying that training companies pay you half of what "another" (presumably better) company would pay. I believe that Prime's base rate for new drivers is 36 cpm, so 70 would be about double.
@huckstah... why don't you call recruiting back, and get in touch with Cheryl? Explain your situation to her, and see if she can help.
Thanks pony, I plan to. Originally, she was the recruiter I was wanting to get up with, but when I filled out my application another recruiter messaged me before I had time to call Cheryl the next day. I did email her on Friday, and hopefully I will hear from her Monday.
Emailed Cheryl but she said there is little that she can do because Seth is already assigned as my recruiter. Meanwhile, Central Refrigerated called me today, and they simply asked me to for a reference to verify my unemployment gap, and I was happy to comply. They said they would love to put me on a bus to Atlanta on March 18th, but I was honest and told the recruiter to give me 3 days to hear back from another company that's contacted me, which is Prime. So Prime has 72 hour's or this rookies gonna have to go with Central for his one-year slave contract, maybe even two years if I like it at Central. Thanks for all y'alls advice and support! You guys are really helpful on this forum
Congrats I'm glad for you. Central is a fine company, and it will give you the experience you need to move forward, or even stay with them if you want. I'm glad you got something, Prime is ridiculous.
