I couldn't tell you. The newest truck I've drove was a 2012 Volvo and that was in school, really nice truck however the sleeper had been modified into a backseat. The others were old school freight shakers

Also curious about what to expect during orientation? Standard dot physical, road test and videos?? Or is there more to it. And moose mentioned studying while I'm with my mentor, what will I be studying? And what kindve qualities am I looking for in a mentor I want someone who will actually teach me and not be an ###hole or disgusting. Bad hygiene is a pet peeve of mine. I can tough most things out as I need this change financially for my family, it's all about them so I'll put up with a lot to get back on my feet, I just want to make sure I can get the best possible training I can get, not someone who just wants the extra money and doesn't give a #### about the student. Any helpful advice is welcome. Negativity is not welcome.

You will be studying the Swift driver manual so you are up on the Swift way of doing things.
You may need to practice paper logs and study how to do them correctly.
You will need to study the list of macro's used in the Qualcom to learn what they are used for and when to use them.
You will study the art of trip planning, not to mention the use of an atlas.

Gotcha. Do you use paper logs as well as the e logs or is that legal?

During training you will do both, just so you know how.
Once you go solo it will be e-logs only, unless that system goes down and you need to revert to paper for a short time. You will always have to keep a supply of paper logs on hand, but you don't fill them out unless the e-log system goes down.

I've had the system go down a couple times and it told me to switch to paper logs.
But once it came back up it either had corrected itself or I could edit it for locations and such.
I've never had to actually scan in paper logs once I've been on the e-logs. But I did keep them around for a couple months, just in case.

Thank you. I'm also considering flatbed instead of the box. I know swift has some flatbed but with me being in Florida km probably sol on that. Thoughts?
