    thanks HDD and Ron for the great info. I think I am going to stay out of OR and AZ:biggrin_25519: lol

    when my CA# and MCP# become active will I be automatically enrolled in the BIT program or do I need to fill out a separate form and pay another fee?

    Hey Stroked,

    One easy way to get enrolled in bit is to visit the CHP website they have the application form on there in a PDF format file fill it out and send the like $600.00 dollar fee and they will be paying you a visit within 90 days. The first visit will be basically to show you what they want and help you get set up the California Bit inspectors basically wear two hats they also do the duties of the federal DOT inspector so both are covered. It really is not all that hard just be sure to get enrolled in a drug and alcohol testing program immediately about $125.00.
