My son and I team for Schneider. We average 6500 miles a week and clear, after taxes, around 950 a week. We've 48 states but most of our runs have been in the midwest from Michigan/Illinois down to Texas.

From reading posts on here schneider seems like a good company. However I've also read that they dont allow inverters. Or maybe a max of 400 watts. Is this true? Also read that they are strict on idling and dont have apu's. So seems like you would be stuck in a hot or cold truck with no electronic comforts like fridge microwave tv etc. Am I off base here?

We have a fridge, they do allow inverters but they do limit the size. They don't have APU's because of maintenance costs but the new trucks do have an electrical unit that cools the cab when your stopped for the night.
You're not off base. As a team we don't worry about the APU or idling. I ran solo for two weeks after my team mates wife plopped a kid out. I didn't find a problem with idling. The rule is if it's above 70 degrees or below 20 degrees you can idle all you want. I was in Laredo and that baby ran all night!! No issue -
Ok thanks for the feedback. I guess I was at least half right. I'm leaning towards usxpress at the moment for teaming with my brother. 48 cents per mile with hazmat endorsements I'm told. Definitely still looking for other options though.
