APU exhaust

Im guessing you never sat in a truck stop on a nice calm day with your windows down. I do. APUs running all around. Exhaust coming in the cab. Eyes burning, throat scratchy, headache, the taste of exhaust and the smell. All of them running on Diesel. Yes i monitor O2. My monitor goes off quiet often.

 

I thought that was the Air freshener that eliminated the piss smell

 

I've posted on OOIDA, Several blogs and on done larger companies. No one will listen about the dangers of the APU fumes.
These Companies spend thousands of dollars on programs to get drivers to stop smoking, diet, and exercise. Yet they won't spend a small amount to run a pipe up away from the cab and especially other trucks that park next to it.
I can't open my Windows and enjoy a cool night because the company drivers run these things 24/7. I've seen a few that had a pipe running out to the side blowing exhaust towards other trucks.
If one like that ever parks next to me.... Well let's just say a few potatoes can fix that.
It should be illegal and all APU systems should be required to run an exhaust pipe at least as high as the cab.
