The belt is a gates K060470 you can get one a just about any parts store. The Alt is Napa 213-4530. you have to use the fan off of the thermoking unit, I had to put a washer under the pully to keep it from hitting the alt case, ( I'm trying to find the right one for the chevy alt) you should use the pulley off the chevy, the one off the Thermoking is too big around, the one for the chevy is smaller, meaning it will turn faster and develope more amps. The thermoking pulley truns the alt at about 2800 rpm the chevy should turn it about 3500 rpm. the diffirence is about 80 amps at 2800 and 96 amps at 3500. You can use the 3 wire pigtail I don't have the number with me. The parts counter guy should know which one it is mine was on the blisterpacks in front of the counter. There are only 2 wires on the TK alternator the red one and the brown one. This is the directions i used.

"S", this was a heavy gauge, red wire. -The red wire from "S" gets connected back to the output terminal of the alternator. this is long enough just to put a 3/8 ring connector on it and connect it to the alternator output.

"L", this was a small gauge, brown/red wire.-this was a small gauge, brown wire.-The brown/red wire from "L" gets connected to what is shown in the diagram above as the blue wire. It's this wire that comes (indirectly) from the idiot light and it energizes the alternator. This is the other wire on the TK alternator, just put a butt connector and the wire is done.

The wires from "F" and "P" are not used.

The Fuel pump is a Mr Gasket electric fuel pump for diesel Igot at O'reilly's auto parts, one end is threaded the other has a pressed in hose connection, I took a pair of pliers and pulled it out then threaded the end with an 1/8 in pipe tap. just tried to keep it as straight as i could. it was only $40.00. Napa said they had one that was already threaded on both ends it was $75.00. the one at TK was $200.00.
    good luck.

I know this thread has been silent for awhile but i was wondering if someone could give me some advice on my tripac. I just got it in Jan 2012 and the other day i turned the a/c on for the first time and it smells like the belt is burning when the apu is on. Any ideas on what this may be? Only does it when the a/c is on

Sorry to tell you but these tripacs are garbage your alternator is probably locked up or something. Mine is broke down again 7 times In 18 months. Alternator on mine went. You could have issues with the alt bracket too.

Well the alternator charges the batteries and there is no problem when the heater is on it only does it when the a/c is on. And yea i think just about all APUs are junk. Just about everything they have came up w/ in the past 8 years involving the trucking industry lol

ok here is a little update, for the most part the fixes I listed for the alternator turned out just fine. I had to enlarge the size of the bolt for the 140 amp alternator because with the old 10mm bolt it vibrated a little too much. I just took a hand drill and a 7/16 bit and bored them out.I replqced the 10mm bolt with a 7/16 fine thread and it has turned out to be very solid. I started to have some belt problems, and black smoke when it started. It seems that when my apu was installed the tech ran the fuel line to the bottom of the tank and my filters would only a month before the filters were clogged and the apu's belt would start to squeal. After messing with the belt for months I finally figured that the squealing would stop after the filter change. When I took it to TK they would replace the belt and send me on my way to the next shop. So I got a dual filter mount from Derale, Plugged the passages between the two filters and plumbed it as a separate water separator and secondary filter. Both are Cat filters that I can get from any truck stop.

You also want to check to be sure you have replaced the seperate fuel screen that is on the back side of the engine. Most places that do the service only replace the oil and fuel filter. It may require the pulling of the rear panels.

I have a truck frig and it is wired direct to battery s it has a red light in side it that starts blinking when volts are low and starts turning it self off to save the battery s after about 4 hours with the tripac running. When the truck is running it does right
