Also get the fuel sediment strainer and mount it on outside of apu. It is for the new style evolution. Then gou just unsrew the bowl clean strainer and good to go. Also do yourself a favor as well as your apu loosen jam nut and turn in idle speed screw until it bottoms out. It will help youA/C compressor out, the unit won't bog down when compressor cycles, and your alternator will run cooler due to a faster internal fan speed. Also apu won't smoke as much when A/C compressor cycles. But yeah that is why if you are able always do your own maintenance. Sounds like they had both the fuel water seperator and inline fuel filter off at the same time. And ran the fuel system dry. Hopefully they filled the water seperator with fuel. If not they may have ruined the electric pump. Never let T/A work on your apu.
The reason it wouldn't start the first time after your last service. Is they probably damaged the 1/4" compression fittings or left them loose. -

Yes it will not hurt apu, check with thermo king if you doubt it. Does not burn hardly anymore fuel. But you will notice A/C system will work better, and apu will run alot smoother. My tri pac is now on 3rd trk with 26,000 hours. Did that when it was brand new. Along with servicing every 500 hrs. Change the inline fuel filter to the updated fuel strainer. Makes life easier if mounted to outside of unit.

If you still hear the click click click sound then the fuel pump may still be good. I've replaced the fuel pump on mine before... That fuel filter back there is not that hard to get to... That's just being lazy... That's your in-line filter and it DOES need changing... I hope didn't charge you more than $10 to drop oil and spin on a filter...
But maybe there's a fuel problem... Don't know if they or you have done this but u may need to put diesel in the fuel filter or loosen the fuel filter up while it's starting to get some fuel through then tighten it back up... Also u could try priming the pump...
Start the unit on the control module then go outside. Keep your hand on the on off switch. Wait for the fuel pump to prime (click click click) then power the switch to off right before it starts then flick it back to "on" quickly... Do this at least 3 times to make sure the fuel pump is good and primedLast edited: Aug 22, 2016

I wasn't doubting you, just wanted to make sure I was comprehending what you said.
When you say inline do you mean the prefilter that's mounted behind the motor and up against the back at least that's were there at on a older unit. -
Hopefully they primed the spin on fuel filter?. If it was ran completely out of fuel it can be a pain to reprime. Be patient.HopeOverMope Thanks this. -
HopeOverMope and driverdriver Thank this.

First 2 items listed one is strainer bowl, 2nd item is the actual strainerdriverdriver Thanks this. -
It is one of a few things, and being that it happened right after a pm, my guess is a bad fuel pump that burned up from sucking air.
It could also be a bad stop solenoid which burned up the pull-in windings after cranking too long trying to fill an empty fuel filter. Try removing it and see if the unit will start.
You said the fuel lines were loose on the primary fuel screen. Those pumps will not tolerate any air.
