I said under most circumstances a step deck will be more stable, howeve with a pretty limited tandem or tri axle drop deck or step deck (36-42") with ramps at only 102" wide some of the escavators, front end loaders, and dozers (think maybe D6 or smaller) I've hauled sway a lot more then a standard load of lumber on a what (60-62"?)flatbed. Also keep in mind the weight rating of a truck makes a huge difference in how it handles under a heavy load. Most of the one's you'll use around here have the standard 12k front and 36-40k rears. 10 times maybe not.......but I think the OP got the point. Corners like a dream? Are we really going to start super analyzing every word we use?

Ok I apologize when you said dozer or other oversize stuff I rarely see that sort of stuff on a stepdeck or hi boy trailer so I misread what you had said. So I will put my foot in my mouth and shut up now.

Likewise, sorry if I got snappy. Sometimes when I read, I miss out on tone of voice and body or facial gestures so I might of took your reply the wrong way. Take care.
