You can do that with your convex mirror as well, and low and behold that truck has them.

Actually I am using the calculator that GOD gave me it is called a Brain. Like anything else you practice something you get better at it. Those fender mirrors are for lazy drivers who think it takes too much energy to turn their heads to use their side mirrors or use their brains for determining traffic flow and judging traffic movements. LAZY PEOPLE NEED THE EASY OUT.

The side mirror does not show what is under the mirror. Like little cars and pedestrians skittering about on city streets.

I see a lot of fleet trucks with a big sticker on the passenger door stating "YOU ARE IN MY BLIND SPOT". With a fender mirror there is no blind spot there.

The NY law explains the second right hand fender mirror I've been seeing on ATS trucks lately.

I like the fender mirror being there. I'm only 5'8" so every mirror counts in my book. That little window in the door doesn't really help all that much.

No two people are the same. What is best for me may not work at all for you. If it works use it, if it don't leave it alone. If its in the way move it if you cant go around. There is not supposed to be a dumb question, does to lazy to try count?
