not everyone is in your situation, and what would work for me might not work for you . Idk about leasing other than leasing from a company in 2024 may qualify as stupid . Spend that 50 at the grocery store it goes further .

$100k would get me a new truck and new trailer (that I want) with $40k left. For startup and a wet kit added.

    20% down.

The rest would be left in the bank. To start building on.

Way to go by the way insulting every lease purchase driver . On this forum and out there supporting their families by calling them stupid . How old are you ? Real question . You’re a super trucker genius millionaire right ? To qualify to say that ? Let’s hear your resume .

Maybe me ... completed my first lease with Swift. Turned that truck in and did a purchase through Swift. Paid that truck off and traded it in to a dealer and ordered truck to my spec. Left Swift after Knight bought them when Knight killed Swift's broker program.

Leasing is a business and you have go into it knowing how to start a business, then how to managr it. Problem is that companies will lease on drivers who haven't a clue as to how to run a business. Inevitably they fail, then cry the company screwed them over.

Don't get me wrong there are some very shady lease deals out there as well as good ones that work, as long as you put in the effort. The trick is doing your own research and know how to select the good ones.

I looked at 23 different companies before I leased with Swift. Only 6 of those I considered calling a recruiter. Of those 6, 4 fell off immediately when they refused to send me a copy of thier contract.

I don't know your story but the reference isn't you.
