I'll tell you one thing: For anybody who thinks CB is dead, erect a decent base antenna like I did a few days ago. Holy Lord, nonstop chatter
are skip conditions good right now?

You didn’t even need a base antenna yesterday (Sunday). I turned on my 25lx in my pickup that was sitting inside the garage, and the big boys were booming in on channel 28. I didn’t even go to the “I’m gettin down” crowd on channel 6, they never say anything worth listening to anyway. The band was really jumping.

I picked up one of those automated cb broadcasts warning drivers to slow down because of construction ahead. We have plenty of road construction in Atlanta but Ive never noticed such a broadcast in 35 years living here

Sunday, while driving through Louisiana, I was picking up a lot of distant skip from stations out of Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee, etc. All this was on the working man's channel 19. Unfortunately, the dribble was more suited to SuperBowl6 than for a working channel, so it was interference to me rather than anything helpful.

I'm up in Central Connecticut and I LMAO when a co-worker 2 miles from me gets stepped on by CB shop in GA. by the name Sunrise on 19.

Yeah man its still hoppin'. All kinds of stations blasting into North GA. Wall to wall and tree top tall lol -
Currently in Salina Ks and hear 163 loud and clear, as Ive stated before you can like him or not, agree with him or disagree, enjoy his videos or think they are too long, but when ever I hear him on skip , in my opinion, it is one of the best sounding ( crystal clear) stations I have ever heard. Skip has been very active the last couple of weeks wish I had more power and better antenna setup and try to make some contacts, but I dont, so I just listen.

Don’t let the low power stop you. 80 watts PEP in the mobile made contacts on 28 for me. Now 80 in my base is doing it daily with the 5/8th at 40’ to the bottom. All over the east coast and mid west. Mother Nature is finicky to say the least, but she’s working for the little guys too
